BRAWL: Ting Ting

In June 2001, James Ernest and Z-Man Games released a limited edition of unboxed, rulebook-free Ting Ting decks. Ting Ting is a character from the newly-revamped trading card game Shadowfist, and this promotional deck is intended to generate interest in a six-deck Shadowfist BRAWL expansion. While Ting Ting may appear in that expansion, she will not look exactly as she does in this deck (this helps preserve the collector value of the limited edition).

The Ting Ting recipe includes one new card type, the Wild Block. As explained on the card, a Wild Block can be played on any color of Hit. One other interesting fact about Ting Ting is that, because she was made in thirds, all of her cards but one had to be in multiples of three. From 36 cards, we removed one Double and left her with the 35-card recipe you see below.

Ting Ting's strength comes from her 2 Doubles and her 3 Wild Blocks. The Wild Block is a powerful card, but not so powerful as to make Ting Ting overbalanced, We swear!

Ting Ting features art by Brian Snoddy, including several pieces previously seen in Shadowfist ,and two new pieces painted especially for this deck.

Deck Ting Ting
