SPREE Anarchy Unplugged EditionWritten by Joe and Joe The Cattle Prod Each character carries in his inventory a cattle prod, or a tazer, which can be used if your character ever lands on the same space as another character. The cattle prod knocks the player out for an entire turn. When a person is out tazed, then any character who moves over their space can steal one non-face card (like nicking little items from their shopping cart) without needing to have the card first in their hand. Also, if standing on a square that connects to the fountain, the tazer can be used to stun any other player also standing around the fountain (as you can use its water to send out the shock to them!). Car Wrecks When driving your car through the mall, attempting to ram down any other character, there is always a possibility of someone in another car attempting to ram YOU. When ramming cars, another car must pass over the space of the moving car, and the driver must declare he is attempting to ram him. Each player then rolls one dice, an attack roll and a save roll. If the attack roll is higher, the other car is rammed and is out of commission for the amount of turns the attackers dice rolled. However, if the save roll is higher, then the attacker misses and crashes his car for a single turn. Car Robbery In order to make things more interesting, it is possible for the other players to break into and steal other peoples cars, thus taking their score and adding it entirely to yours, and making it impossible for them to score without stealing another car themselves! Also, the player who steals it now has two cars, and thus can deposit his cards in two different places, making it very easy from then on to score! But, since such a move would be very taxing against the other players, it has to be very hard to perform. In order to pull it off, you must land on the space of their car, and you must declare your going to attempt to steal their car. In order to pull it off, you must roll the dice three times, and you must get a combined score of 14 or higher. If you fail to achieve this, the cars alarm goes off, and the failed thief must give his ENTIRE SCORE to bribe off the cops. Bummer. Shot While Driving When driving your car around and attempting to run down as many characters as possible, it is of course possible for you to be shot in your car. The only difference between being shot in your car and being regularly shot, is that you now go backwards until you hit a wall, thus crashing. You are also out for two turns, since getting out of your car is now a much harder task. If you are blasted towards a shop, you crash into the first shop instead of ramming through several and hitting the wall. Crashing cars that pass over any other characters destroy their shopping carts and knock the players out for a turn. Cars that crash into the fountain are permanently removed from play. The player retains their score, but their score is now back in their shopping cart until they steal someone else¹s car. This forces players to race like mad to protect their vehicles throughout the rest of the game. Otis the Security Guard (Optional) A new pawn is put into play, as the old overweight security guard with a .357 magnum and eyes like a hawk. Unfortunately, years and years of inbreeding has poor Otis with the intelligence of celery. Every round, the security guard moves to a different area of shops, always standing in the one blank spot in the middle of the shop cluster. Any character passing through his line of sight will be automatically shot at, despite the fact that the person might be well out of range for Otis to shoot. Otis still has to roll to hit other players, but more often than not he misses and spends the rest of the round lying on his back. A successful hit from his powerful gun, however unlikely as it is, will send the player backwards until they hit a wall. Ouch. The Matrix Spoon Rule With a successful quote of Morpheous from The Matrix, players can pass through a wall, since the wall is not really there. Players cannot actually do this, but tell people they can so they look stupid trying. |
