Cheapass Games Successfully
Fused Music with Games
In a stunning announcement that has both challenged long-held
beliefs in theoretical physics and dumbfounded science luminaries,
Cheapass Games, the Seattle-based games company, with help
from Chicago indie band Beatnik Turtle, has successfully fused
music with games. The result is "The Cheapass Album"
a full-length CD of songs about or inspired by Cheapass Games.

The Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design created the
Vanguard award in 2001 to recognize games that broke the mold
of traditional hobby game design. Now in 2003, the first game
to be given this prestigious award is James Ernest's game
Diceland: Deep White Sea.

"Cheap"
Cheapass Games announced today that it will be removing the
word "Cheap" from its company name. Beginning April
1, 2003, the company will be known simply as "Ass Games."

For the sixth year in a row, James Ernest and Cheapass
Games have been snubbed by the most respected awards in the
entertainment industry. Despite having released such ground-breaking
titles as Diceland, Fightball, and the Button Men Web Game,
Cheapass Games returned from the March 23 awards ceremony
empty-handed.
